GOOD MORNING

We're not kidding when we say Good Morning might be the best indie band to come out of Australia. 7 albums deep, their discography is the fitting soundtrack to every moment from a much too long road-trip with people you should know better, sharehouse kick-ons with the people you care about most in the world, the mundane and ill-equipped grocery shop from the corner store by your work 10 minutes before the bus arrives.

Stalwarts of the indie underground, the high school friends-turned-band-mates Stefan Blair and Liam Parsons now live in Los Angeles and London, respectively. So the Brisbane stop in 2024 is rare, we can't be more honoured to have them as a part of SILO. We hope to host all the intricate and precarious crackles on Seven, their most expansive, ambitious album yet. Think Dick Diver, Liz Phair and Brian Wilson soundtracking a black-and-white musical about drifting into your thirties. Having been fortunate enough to host Good Morning on some of GRAIN's earliest events so this is a return to home-base for us.

PHOEBE GO

Phoebe Go is the highly anticipated solo project of alt-pop artist, Phoebe Lou. It’s a heartfelt project that, at its core, is full of hope. After the success of her high-school band Snakadaktal catapulted her into the music industry at the tender age of 15, Phoebe Lou was just a kid. Now, with 10 more years of experience and another exceptional project, Two People, under her belt, it’s time for her to catapult herself.

In her debut EP Player (October 2022), Phoebe Go unveiled a full-bodied and wholly realised acoustic world unlike anything Phoebe has shared before. The process of finding her voice as a solo artist has been, as described by Phoebe herself, daunting, but it has also set her free.

POP FILTER

This is an especially special booking for us, as we've forever loved the long lost sounds of 'The Ocean Party' - this quietly proactive recording project from our friends that surround the left-overs of the Naarm collective are joining us for a rare live performance and their debut in Brisbane.

Pop Filter is a new Australian band whose members stretch between cities and who’s shared history binds them together. With the number one goal being that of nurturing their friendship and continuing to make music together at an age when children, work, and distance can easily hamper this. Late last year we we're gifted their third full length CONO and we're eagerly awaiting the live performance of all of their soft family favourites.

01 THURMAN

A friend of the GRAIN family, 01 Thurman is our favourite of the next wave of D.I.Y. alt-rock. After playing in other bands around Brisbane and working on demos at home, 01 Thurman is finally coming out with a sound that borrows from post-punk and lo-fi pop. He released his debut demo tape in late 2023 and has been doing the rounds playing shows with his band over the past year. While 01 Thurman is primarily a solo project, the live shows with a band add energy to the songs that’s worth witnessing.
