GRAIN SILO Club Night Brisbane Live Music

YB.

We're excited to be handing the SILO spotlight to a local favourite Yb., the indie darling alt-pop artist who's found a home on so many incredible lineups across the country. Whether appearing on SXSW stages in Aus or the US, BIGSOUND here in Bris - there's a very good chance they've made their way onto those indie-playlists you frequent.

Yb's most recent release, the ‘Bulletproof’ Mixtape, has seen Yb. has consistently swerve genres and expectations – from introspective and cruisey indie-pop to adrenaline filled, electro gems. Drenched in synth and dreamy guitars, we're looking forward to a mosaic of melodic hooks and clever lyrical wordplay.

GAUCI

It's a well acclaimed family affair when it comes to GAUCI. The creative partnership of grammy nominated mix engineer Antonia Gauci, seasoned live performer David Gauci (of Flowertruck & Hatchie fame - you know we can't get enough of them) on guitar and multi-hyphenate mastermind Felix Lush (Brooke Candy, JamesJamesJames) on bass, GAUCI boast a wealth of expertise and training, galvanised by the freedom to authentically express their range.

A true tastemaker's band, as proven from co-signs by FBi Radio, Bandcamp, PAPER, Atwood Magazine, Frankie, & Pilerats. It's worth every second to get onto their debut mixtape 'Growing Pains' before you're the last one to do so, and be sure to expect anything but the atypical from GAUCI at this month's SILO.

JET CITY SPORTS CLUB

Jet City Sports Club are one of our favourite indie/rock outfits to come out of Eora in the last few years, if you were lucky enough to catch them on our Matesound lineup last year. It's a jangly-sunny sound that is criminal to not have come from the Sunshine State circa 2010, but it's a welcome return to form for lush guitars along the East Coast. It's a pleasure to have them nestled on our August lineup.

APRIL DARLING

A new local duo consisting of Singer/Songwriter Jemima Laag and Producer Ethan Wood, April Darling sets out to create a unique brand of indie-pop that combines elements of alt-rock, synth-pop, dance music and much more. This will be one of your first chances to see what the duo have in the works.
