LOOK: Trashbinn Art with Joshua Amour

The first Sunday of every month, LOOK invites you to the opening event of our exhibition program. For our third instalment we celebrate the work of local artists Tasmin (aka Trashbinn Art) and Joshua Amour. Through a convergence of sound and visual, together these artists will continue LOOK’s exhibition program which seeks to create a cooperative space for artists and DJs to expand Meanjin’s creative community and share in a stimulating experience.

Trashbinn Art (she/her) is a Gamilaraay woman living and creating in Meanjin on stolen Yuggera & Turrubal land. Trashbinn has been practicing digital and film photography for the past two years in order to express her ideas about social policy, femininity, relationships, culture, and love. She also likes to explore the concepts of nudity, fatness, Aboriginality, diversity and radical self-acceptance in a Western world that prioritises and upholds the values of whiteness.

Joshua Amour (he/him), is a Meanjin/Brisbane based producer and DJ who creates lighthearted dance music across a range of different styles. Taking heavy influence from the music that people around him have shared, Joshua Amour carves a way through a multitude of sounds and genres while leaving a signature feeling over all of his work.
